Porsche has launched the 911 S/T in India, a special edition model that celebrates the 60th anniversary of the 911. Only 1,963 units of the S/T will be manufactured worldwide, making it the most exclusive Porsche model in India.
The 911 S/T is inspired by Porsche Motorsport’s GT department and incorporates features from the GT3 RS and GT3 Touring models. It also has retro design elements that pay homage to the racing version of the 911 S from the late 1960s and early 1970s.
One of the key highlights of the 911 S/T is its emphasis on weight reduction. It is the lightest among the 992-generation 911s, weighing in at just 1380 kg. Carbon fiber is extensively used in the construction of body panels, doors, roof, and even the rear anti-roll bar.
The 911 S/T is designed to enhance the driving experience on regular roads. It has optimized aerodynamics and a special Heritage Design Package that offers a special shore blue metallic paint reminiscent of the 1960s 911 S racer.
Under the hood, the 911 S/T is powered by a 4.0-liter flat-six petrol engine that produces 518 bhp and 465 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated 911 with a manual gearbox.
The 911 S/T is priced at Rs 4.26 crore (ex-showroom). It is available to order now through Porsche dealerships in India.
